Cherokee Rose Sporting Clays is Georgia's premier sporting clays and Helice destination and one of the most iconic shotgun clubs in the United States, established in 1981 and set on 124 stunning acres of rolling hills, ponds, streams, and Georgia pines just 35 miles south of Atlanta. The facility features two distinct sporting clays courses - the Blue and Red - a regulation Helice ring added in 2020, a five-stand, two newly renovated covered pavilions, a clubhouse and pro shop, and a fleet of four-seater golf carts. Veterans, seniors, active military, and first responders receive discounted clay rates every day, and Wednesdays offer seniors and veterans a free golf cart with groups of two or more. Family memberships at $295 per year cover a spouse and all children under 21 and include discounts on clays, cart rentals, gun rentals, and merchandise. An NSCA, GSCA, and USHA member facility capable of hosting groups of 600 or more, Cherokee Rose is the gold standard for shotgun sports in the South.
Cherokee Rose is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9am to 6pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Check the calendar at crclays.com for course closures and special event dates.

Helice is a shotgun sport with targets that simulate the unpredictable flight of live birds. The ZZ bird targets consist of white circular plastic caps attached to orange dual-winged propellers launched at 5,000 revolutions per minute from motorized machines. Shooters have two shells per bird and must knock the witness cap off before the bird flies out of the ring. Cherokee Rose added its first regulation Helice ring in November 2020.
Clay targets are $0.62 each for daily visitors and $0.48 each for members ($0.40 with a 1,000-target card). Helice birds are $3.00 each daily and $2.75 for members. Golf cart rental is $40 per round (4-seater) for non-members and $20 for members. Shotgun rentals are $30 for non-members and $20 for members.
