The Turcotte Education & Shooting Facility is a Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) state-managed public shooting and outdoor education complex located at 506 Highway 43 South in Canton, Mississippi. One of the most comprehensive public shooting facilities in the Southeast, Turcotte offers a 14-position outdoor rifle range with movable target stands at distances up to 300 yards, a 14-position handgun range with firing lines at 3, 7, 15, 25, 50, and 60 yards, 1.3 miles of sporting clays courses, Olympic-style skeet ranges, a 5-Stand Kamikaze Dove Field, and a 3D archery range. The facility is designed to serve hunters, sport shooters, and new firearm owners of all skill levels. Entry is $15 per person. Sporting clays are 30 cents per clay target, with a complete round of 50 shots costing $12.50. Summer hours run Thursday through Sunday starting March 1. The facility may close due to weather or special events; calling ahead is recommended.
