Midwest Shooting Center Billings is Montana's premier indoor shooting range and the only location in the state for the nationally recognized MSC brand - part of an Inc. 5000 company with locations across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The centrally located Billings facility features 10 25-yard indoor lanes rated from .22 to .308 with digitally controlled target placement and sound-buffered construction, a well-stocked retail firearms store, suppressed firearm rentals, and a personalized coaching program where shooters earn MSC patch recognition as they advance through skill levels. Three membership tiers - Range, Retail, and VIP - unlock unlimited range time, lane reservations, discounted rentals and classes, free FFL transfers, and access to a members-only lounge. A free sample training session and free skills assessment are available to new visitors.

Monday is closed. Tuesday through Thursday 10am to 8pm. Friday and Saturday 10am to 9pm. Sunday 11am to 6pm.
Yes. The Billings location was formerly known as Black Butte Range and has since joined the Midwest Shooting Center family - an Inc. 5000 company with locations across Montana, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The facility is at the same address on Central Ave.
Yes. The Billings location is currently the only Midwest Shooting Center in Montana. A Montana Shooting Center Task Force was created by Governor Gianforte in 2025 to plan a world-class state shooting facility - additional public range options in Montana may follow.
The Billings range has 10 indoor 25-yard lanes with digitally controlled target retrieval systems. Calibers from .22 up to .308 are permitted. All lanes are sound-buffered for shooter comfort.
Range time is $20 for the first hour and $10 for each additional hour. A second shooter on the same lane is $10. Standard firearm rentals are $15 and suppressed rentals are $25. Please note that rentals require two individuals per lane.
Yes. Midwest Shooting Center Billings offers suppressed firearm rentals at $25. The facility is suppressor-friendly and welcomes personal NFA items as well.
MSC Billings offers three membership tiers. Range membership includes unlimited range time, guest passes, online lane reservations, 25% off rentals, 25% off core classes, ammo discounts, a $150 training discount, a free skills assessment, and members-only lounge access. Retail membership adds firearms at industry minimum pricing, 10% off regularly priced items, and free non-NFA FFL transfers. VIP membership combines all Range and Retail benefits.
