Blackstone Shooting Sports is Charlotte's premier indoor shooting center, open since 2015 at 2001 Wilkinson Boulevard. Built around the motto "Where Freedom Meets Safety," it delivers a polished, entertainment-grade experience for everyone from complete beginners to expert marksmen, with a full-service range desk, knowledgeable staff, and a dedicated range safety officer on every bay. The facility features 3 spacious shooting bays with 27 well-lit, climate-controlled lanes at 25 yards, each equipped with a digital electronic target-retrieval system, a Rubber Total Containment Trap, and a HEPA ventilation system. A comfortable waiting area with vending and HDTVs, plus a viewing window into the range, rounds out the guest experience. More than 75 rental firearms are available, so no equipment is necessary to come shoot. Beyond the range, Blackstone operates one of the region's largest retail operations — handguns, rifles, shotguns, suppressors and NFA items, ammunition, optics, knives, and accessories — alongside on-site gunsmithing, FFL transfers, and buy/sell/trade. Walk-in range time is $42/hour, while members shoot free and enjoy deep discounts on rentals and second shooters. Training runs from beginner classes and one-on-one private instruction to women-only classes and a Youth Firearm Safety Certification for ages 10-13. Members also get access to an exclusive members' lounge with HDTVs and a patio overlooking the Charlotte skyline, priority check-in, exclusive premium rentals, and two free youth certifications. Absolutely. We welcome shooters of all experience levels, including complete beginners. Every bay has a dedicated range safety officer, you'll receive a full safety briefing, and we offer introductory classes and one-on-one instruction.
Walk-in range time is $42/hour for the primary shooter and $18/hour for a second shooter on the same lane. Members shoot free and pay just $9/hour for a second shooter. A single firearm rental is $20 ($10 for members), and unlimited rentals are $27 ($13.50 for members).
Yes — over 75 rental pistols, rifles, and shotguns, plus ammunition, targets, eye and ear protection ($25, yours to keep), and accessories. No equipment is necessary to come shoot.
Monthly membership is $59.99 and annual is $719.88. Members shoot free, get 50% off rentals and second shooters, lane reservations, 10% off training, members'-lounge access, exclusive rentals, priority check-in, and two free youth certifications. The signup fee (normally $99) is currently $0 for a limited time.

Minimum age is 8 with adult supervision. Ages 8-12 must be accompanied at all times; 13-17 need a parent/guardian present to sign the waiver; 18+ shoot independently with valid ID. Minors 10-13 must complete our Youth Firearm Safety Certification.
Handguns, rifles (.22 LR through .308 Win), and shotguns (slugs only, no shot). Only lead-core bullets are allowed — no steel-core, incendiary, tracer, exploding, or tipped ammo, and no reloaded or hand-loaded ammunition.
Yes, factory-manufactured ammunition only (no reloads or hand-loads), and it's subject to staff inspection. Rental firearms, however, must use range-provided ammunition.
Absolutely. We offer women-only classes and events, female instructors on request, and a comfortable, respectful atmosphere for all shooters.
Yes. We have ADA-compliant parking and entrance, wheelchair-accessible shooting lanes, adjustable benches, and accessible restrooms. Contact us in advance so we can ensure the best possible experience.
Yes. Closed-toe shoes are required, and we ask guests to avoid low-cut tops, tank tops, and clothing that leaves the neck, chest, or arms exposed, to protect against hot ejected brass.
