Selwood Farm is an NSSF 5-Star rated outdoor sporting clays course and hunting preserve in Alpine, Alabama, and a 40-plus-year destination for shotgun sports in the Southeast. An affiliate of the ClubCorp family, Selwood pairs championship-level clay shooting with a full upland hunting operation and overnight lodge accommodations. The sporting clays course features 26 stations (stations 1-18 form a standard 100-target course) winding through scenic Alabama terrain, complemented by a 5-Stand, a Wobble trap, and a regulation Helice (ZZ Bird) ring. Clay shooters pay a simple 50 cents per target, with a 5-Stand round of 25 targets at 12.50 and Helice at 3 per target; golf carts and gun rentals are available on site. During hunting season (October 1 - March 31), Selwood offers guided quail and pheasant wingshooting, with half-day (12 quail) and full-day (24 quail) hunts that include guide, dogs, lunch, and processed birds. Private and group shooting instruction is offered by appointment, and the property also has a pro shop and Gun Vault, boarding kennels, a conference room and pavilion, and overnight accommodations for groups and event guests. Hours are seasonal. October-March: Monday-Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm. April-June: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm. July-September: Wednesday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and Saturday 8am-3pm. Call ahead to confirm and reserve.
Sporting clays are 50 cents per target, so a standard 100-target round is about 50 dollars. A 5-Stand round of 25 targets is 12.50, and Helice is 3 per target.
Yes. Gun rental is 25 for a half day, and golf carts are 15 (1 rider) or 40 (3-4 riders) for four hours.
Yes, by appointment. Private lessons are 100 per hour and group lessons are 150 per hour, plus target fees (shells not included). Call for group rates.
Yes. During hunting season (October 1 - March 31) we offer guided quail and pheasant hunts: half-day (12 quail) for 550, full-day (24 quail) for 950, and Continental pheasant for 495 per person, all including guide, dogs, lunch and processed birds.
Yes. Selwood offers overnight lodge accommodations (2-night minimum unless part of an event or hunt group). Boarding kennels are also available.
