GAT Guns has been East Dundee's trusted source for firearms, training, and gear for over 40 years. Located at 970 Dundee Avenue, the facility features a 75-foot pistol range with 24 state-of-the-art lanes and a separate rifle range with 28 lanes — 14 at 75 yards and 14 at 50 yards — all climate-controlled with cutting-edge target systems. The showroom stocks over 2,000 firearms from all major manufacturers. Training programs are among the most comprehensive in the Chicago metro area, spanning Illinois Concealed Carry Licenses (new and renewal), Women's Classes, Youth Classes for ages 8-14, Intro, Next Step, Advanced, Defensive Pistol Series (4-part), Shotgun, Rifle, NRA Certified Courses, Instructor Certification, and Private Lessons. Services include in-house gunsmithing, Cerakote custom finishes, FFL transfers, Illinois FOID and CCL application assistance, LiveScan fingerprinting, passport photos, and buy/sell/trade programs. Rental firearms cover pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Brass-only ammunition is required on all ranges; no steel, steel-core, or aluminum-case ammo. Children must be at least 14 to shoot (or have completed the GAT Guns Youth Handgun Safety Class). Shooters celebrating a birthday get free pistol range time — just show your ID. Range waiver can be completed online in advance and is valid for one year.

GAT Guns has a 75-foot (25-yard) pistol range with 24 lanes and a rifle range with 28 lanes — 14 at 75 yards and 14 at 50 yards. The pistol range allows pistol-caliber rifles (caliber limit .50 AE). The rifle range allows calibers up to .300 Winchester Magnum and shotgun slugs only. No pistol fire on the rifle range.
Shooters must be at least 14 years old. Those under 14 may shoot if they have completed the GAT Guns Youth Handgun Safety Class. No one under 18 is allowed on the ranges without a parent or legal guardian. A valid Illinois FOID card is required for rentals; rental renter must be 21.
Brass-only ammunition — no steel case, steel core, or aluminum case. No tracer or armor-piercing rounds. No shotshells except slugs on the rifle range. All ammunition in magazines is subject to inspection. No black powder or muzzle loaders on any range.
