Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays is an NSSF 5-Star rated outdoor sporting clays facility in Coplay, Pennsylvania, just minutes from Allentown - and one of the most distinctive clay courses in the Northeast, set in and around an abandoned 1800s cement quarry that gives the grounds an unparalleled atmosphere. The facility offers three courses for every skill level: a 16-station Green course for beginners, a 14-station Blue course for intermediate shooters, and an Orange course for advanced shooters, all winding through the dramatic quarry terrain. No reservations are required except for golf carts and lessons, and the on-site clubhouse and pro shop sell ammunition and offer loaner guns. First-time shotgun shooters are required to take a lesson unless accompanied by an experienced shooter who will be responsible for teaching proper gun safety. Shooters bringing their own shotgun must use a barrel of at least 24 inches (no pistol grips or collapsible stocks) and shot size 7.5-9; loaner-gun users must purchase the club's shells. Open to the public Wednesday through Sunday year-round (plus Mondays April through December), with its quarry setting, three skill-graded courses, instruction, and NSSF 5-Star rating, Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays is a premier clay shooting destination in eastern Pennsylvania.
